There are plenty of dentists out there who will do a passable job of cleaning and examining your teeth and gums. But at Smiles of Punta Gorda, we aspire to be a dental practice that far exceeds “passable.”
We want to be a place that is convenient for families and where all patients — from children to seniors — feel comfortable and at ease. A place where clinical care is top notch and always on the technological cutting edge.

#1 Our Team Members Treat You Right
Whether you’re at the grocery store, at a restaurant, or just walking down the street, a personal interaction can lift your spirits or put you into a funk for the rest of the day. When it comes to a dental appointment, when you may already be a little nervous or on edge, the stakes are even higher.
At Smiles of Punta Gorda, we are well aware of the importance of hiring just the right team members. Every person we bring on board — front desk staff to hygienists to dental assistants — combines experience, impeccable skills, and the ability to make patients of all ages feel comfortable. Most of our employees have been here for a decade or more, so we have a congenial family atmosphere in the office.
If you don’t understand a procedure or a billing issue, we know how to explain it in terms you can understand — and we do so with patience. If you are anxious, we know just what to say to put you at ease.
#2 We Love Kids (and Kids Love Us)
When you take your kids to the dentist, you are not only taking care of their teeth in the short term. You are creating a foundation for a lifetime of good oral health. That is why it is so important to choose just the right dental home. You don’t want your children to think of the dental office as scary and unpleasant.
At Smiles of Punta Gorda, we make an effort to give our youngest patients a fun time. Our staff members know how to talk to kids, and we offer prizes and treats. We will also take a “first visit to the dentist” photo.
For future appointments, you won’t have to drag your kids here — they may even look forward to their twice-yearly checkups!
#3 We Stay on the Cutting Edge
Technological innovations have drastically changed the field of dentistry over the past several decades. Thanks to advanced materials and digitized techniques, procedures are faster, more precise, less invasive, and less uncomfortable for you.
We understand the benefits and possibilities of technology and are always looking out for new ways to improve patient care and experience.
We use a state-of-the-art CEREC digital scanner for impressions. No more messy and uncomfortable molds. Just a quick scan of your mouth, and we get highly detailed impressions for crafting your restoration.
There’s no need to fear a root canal at Smiles of Punta Gorda. We use fast and efficient rotary technology to clean the tooth canal and fill it with a special rubber compound.
If you have a cavity, we will fill it with a durable and lifelike composite resin material that we match precisely to your natural tooth color. The resin will be shaped and polished, rendering it invisible on your smile. No more unattractive amalgam, or metal, fillings to mar your smile.
#4 We Offer the Services You Want & Need
We want to be a one-stop dental shop for your entire family. So we offer all the services you may need. Of course, everyone should come in for a cleaning and exam every six months.
We offer optional services to keep your and your kids’ smiles in great shape, including fluoride treatments, dental sealants, and athletic mouthguards.
We have a full menu of cosmetic dentistry techniques: teeth whitening, bonding, tooth contouring, crown lengthening, dental veneers, “gummy smile” treatments, and full smile makeover plans. Dr. Martin is a certified Invisalign provider.
We also offer the restorative dentistry procedures that will make your smile healthy and whole once again.
- Dental crowns in ceramic, zirconium, porcelain fused to metal (PFN), and full gold
- Tooth-colored composite fillings
- Comfortable modern root canals
- Dental bridges
- Dental implants
